The Icom MR-1220R4 radar is a 2-foot navigational instrument designed to support multifunction radar systems on ships. With a transmission output power of 4 kW, this radar can accurately target targets at medium and long ranges.

Tampilan AIS (Automatic Identification System)
By connecting this radar to an external AIS (such as: Icom IC-M605 and AIS Icom IC-M506 ) it can display up to 100 live AIS target icons. When an AIS icon is selected, information about the vessel, such as: AIS class, MMSI number, vessel name, heading, speed, CPA, TCPA, heading, and distance will be displayed.
DSC Call Information Display
When this Icom radar is connected to a DSC radio and receives a call, the DSC message is displayed directly on the radar screen. This feature displays the message content, the sender’s location, and up to 20 messages can be mapped simultaneously.
ARPA Automated Simplified
Simplified ARPA ( Automatic Radar Plotting Aids ) helps prevent collisions between ships and nearby objects. Information such as position, course, speed, CPA (Closest Point), TCPA (Time to CPA), heading, and distance to the target are displayed when the target is selected. If the target enters the CPA area or crosses the TCPA boundary, the system will issue an audible warning as a sign of danger.
Ship Position Plot
The ship plotter records a ship’s latitude and longitude data at predetermined time intervals. It then displays the ship’s movement track in real time on the radar screen. This feature allows you to accurately monitor the course of previous voyages.
3D View
This ship’s radar provides an easy-to-understand bird’s-eye view of the radar. You can adjust the viewing angle to your liking and display 2D views simultaneously.
Alarm Eksternal Icom MR-1220R4
There’s also a terminal for an external buzzer on the rear of the radar. By connecting an additional alarm, the system can provide an additional audible warning if a target enters the CPA area or exceeds the TCPA limits.

The MR-1220R4 is also available in various languages, such as: Indonesian, English, Korean, Malay, Russian, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese.
Unit Output Video
Using the UX-234 add-on unit, the radar can be connected to an external display, allowing radar reflections to be displayed simultaneously on two monitors. This unit is suitable for use in both the wheelhouse and navigation deck.

Programmable Alarm Zones
Furthermore, this radar is equipped with two manually adjustable alarm zones. When a target enters a predetermined zone, the system will issue an automatic warning.
TLL (Target Latitude Longitude)
This feature allows you to accurately determine the latitude and longitude of a selected target on the radar screen. This information is essential for recording the location of a specific object or transmitting it to other navigation devices, such as a plotter or GPS.
Ship Movement Track
This radar can also display the track or trajectory of moving targets based on their actual direction. This feature makes it easy for operators to understand the direction and movement patterns of other vessels or objects in the vicinity.
Destination Pointer
The destination point indicator helps you to mark and display the destination location directly on the radar screen so that your navigation becomes more focused.
Save Power
To support energy efficiency on board, this ship’s radar provides a power-saving feature that automatically reduces electricity consumption when the radar is not in use.
