Accuracy: The frequency weighting complies with IEC 651 type 2, calibrating the input signal at 94 dB(31.5 Hz to 8 kHz), then the accuracy of the A weighting is determined as follows:

31.5 Hz – ± 3 dB, 63 Hz – ± 2 dB, 125 Hz – ± 1.5 dB
250 Hz – ±1.5 dB, 500 Hz – ±1.5 dB, 1 kHz – ±1.5 dB

Frequency Weighted Networks: Characteristics A & C.

* Weighting – Characteristics are simulated in response to “Human Ear Listing”. Usually, when measuring environmental noise levels, always select the A weighting.
* C-weighted – Characteristics close to a “FLAT” response. Typical, suitable for checking engine noise (Q.C. check) & knowing the sound pressure level of the equipment under test.

* The “Fast” range is simulated with the response time of the human ear with a weight. The “Slow” range is easy to get an average value of the sound vibration level.
