The Icom IC-M85 is a walkie-talkie suitable for use in both water and land locations. With its small size and lightweight, this walkie-talkie is easy to carry and comfortable to use. It also comes equipped with various advanced features to support clear and secure communications.

Light Weight

This Icom HT is the world’s lightest commercial hybrid radio for marine and land use. Weighing just 281 grams (including battery, antenna, and belt clip), this HT is easy to carry and comfortable to use.

Supports 136–174 MHz Land Frequencies

In addition to marine VHF channels, the IC-M85 also supports land channels with VHF frequencies of 136–174 MHz. Users can program up to 100 land channels, each with CTCSS and DTCS tones for secure communications.

Sound Quality Up to 700 mW

Despite its small size, this marine HT can produce powerful sound with 700 mW power.

Communication Security Features

This HT radio is equipped with a built-in voice scrambler for more secure communications. With 32 codes compatible with the UT-112 scrambler unit, communications are protected from eavesdropping.

Automatic Emergency Alarm

The IC-M85 has three emergency-related features: MOB Alarm (Man Overboard), Man Down, and Lone Worker. When any of these features are activated, the radio will automatically send an emergency alarm to alert the relevant authorities.

Easy to Use

The multifunction button on the top panel can be programmed for various purposes, such as switching between marine and land channel groups or activating and deactivating the scrambler function. The Key Lock function can also be activated by holding the button down.

Waterproof and MIL-STD Compliant

This walkie-talkie is IP67-rated , making it dustproof and water-resistant up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It also meets MIL-STD-810 specifications, making it resistant to various extreme conditions.
