The Icom IC-FR6000 is a NXDN-based UHF digital repeater for trunking and conventional communication systems. This device utilizes the NXDN system, delivering crisper and clearer audio. Its unique design allows for dual channel operation within a single device.
The IC-FR5000/FR6000 series has an internal space for installing an optional RF unit, UR-FR5000 or UR-FR6000. Two RF modules can be installed in a chassis reducing installation space, and increasing channel capacity. They can be programmed and operated independently.

Minimalist Size
The Icom IC-FR6000 is built in a 2U/3.5-inch (approx. 88.9 mm) size that meets the industry standard for 19-inch racks.
Two RF Modules in One Unit
The IC-FR6000 has internal space for one additional RF module. Using the optional UR-FR6000 module, you can use two RF modules in a single device. LED indicators on the front panel display the status of each channel.
High Power Output
This Icom repeater is equipped with a power amplifier for continuous use at 25 watts without interruption at an ambient temperature of 25°C. If higher power is required, an optional UR-PA5000 series amplifier is available, which can produce up to 100 watts.
32 Memory Channels and 5 Program Buttons
The IC-FR6000 supports up to 32 memory channels, features a 12-digit dot matrix display, and five program buttons. This repeater speaker can also be used as a base station or to monitor repeater activity directly.
CTCSS, DTCS, and Digital RAN Codes
This HT repeater can recognize up to 16 different tones or codes per channel, including CTCSS, DTCS, and RAN ( Radio Access Number ) digital codes. This feature facilitates efficient use of shared channels by multiple users.
25 Pin Connector
Next, this Icom repeater is equipped with a 25-pin D-SUB connector that can be programmed to connect an external trunking control or other remote controller.
High Quality Receiver
In addition, this repeater also comes with top-class reception performance, with high levels of selectivity and intermodulation rejection.
Internal Sound Scrambler
The built-in inversion voice scrambler provides a standard level of conversation security in analog mode. For higher security, the UT-109R (32-code, non-rolling ) and UT-110R (1020-code, rolling ) scrambler options are available. In IDAS digital mode, a 15-bit encryption system generates over 32,000 security code combinations.
Audio Compander Internal
Finally, the built-in audio compander in analog mode improves the signal-to-noise ratio, resulting in clearer, more comfortable sound.
