Reference Block’s V1 allows to:
- determine the ultrasonic oscillation insertion point and the distance from the piezoceramic plate to the probe housing with an accuracy of ± 0.5mm;
- determine the input angle of ultrasonic oscillations with an accuracy of ±1 angular degree;
- determining the uncontrolled (dead) zone (for steel) of straight beam ultrasonic piezoelectric transducers;
- determine the horizontal linearity of ultrasonic scanning;
- configure the scanning speed and sensitivity of straight beam, angle beam, and dual element piezoelectric transducers.
Reference Block’s V2 allows to:
- calibrate scanning flaw detectors through ultrasonic wave expansion speed, working with straight beam piezoelectric transducers;
- calibrate scanning flaw detectors through the expansion speed of ultrasonic waves, working with corner beam piezoelectric transducers;
- setting the conditional sensitivity of ultrasonic flaw detectors with straight-beam and corner-beam piezoelectric transducers;
- determine the output point of ultrasonic oscillations and the distance from the piezoceramic plate to the probe housing;
- determine the angle of input of ultrasonic oscillations into the steel
